About Us

Tomkinson's Stained Glass Ltd was first established in 1975, in Islington, North London, originally in the restoration of
antique stained glass.

We were located in Portobello Road Antique Market from 1991 to 2003, where we gained a great deal of experience working with customers worldwide, but mainly from Europe, America and Japan.

We now work from our home in Bedfordshire, 30 minutes north of London, where we locate windows to suit customer's needs and
offer advice on stained glass valuation.

Before you buy an Antique window from us...
All of the stained glass on our web-site is Antique. We do not sell new stained glass. We now have a new section where we have a few pieces of late 20th century glass but these are clearly described as such. All descriptions are to the best of our knowledge, true and honest. We encourage you to ask for extra images and we will answer any questions that you have. It will be our pleasure to quote you stock prices and shipping costs.
All prices are plus 20% VAT, unless for export outside the EU.

Payment

We totally understand the perils of sending money too and of course, trusting company's on the internet. But it is our policy that all glass is paid for in full before it is delivered or shipped, so it is without hesitation that we will provide references from our past customers worldwide, which will hopefully reassure you that Tomkinson Stained Glass Ltd are reputable dealers. We except personal cheques once cleared, bank wire transfer and the following payments:

Packing & Shipping
We ship worldwide and welcome buyers from Europe, America and Japan. All of our antique stained glass is insured, wrapped in bubble plastic with sheets of polystyrene and inserted into custom made wooden cases. All crates are sent by air-freight and UPS is our preferred courier, with each case having a tracking number so we & you can follow its progress to your door.

Delivery or Collection
As soon as your window has been collected by UPS, we will contact
you with the tracking number, with next day delivery in the UK and anything from 3 days - 5 days for worldwide delivery, depending on destination. We have delivered to New York within 48 hours. We are
in London most weeks and if possible we will do our best to arrange local delivery. We also welcome personal callers and are situated 5 minutes from Junction 11 of the M1 motorway, but please call us first for an appointment.

Once you receive your purchase please open the case as soon as possible. If you have any problems please contact us immediately
to discuss the options and for us to assist you in any claim that you might have.
