- 1944 Large antique Victorian stained glass window, designed by George Parlby and made by James Powell & Sons studio, London, c1900. Leaded and hand painted depicting Farmers harvesting Willow canes. Below is the phrase "Labor Omnia Vincit" - Work Conquers All. Taken for a poem written in support of Augustus Caesar's "Back to the land" policy, aimed at encouraging more Romans to become farmers. Beautifully painted, with deep cut acid etching enamel and silver stain paints, also in excellent original condition.
