"Semper Sic" - Always thus
Victorian antique stained glass window,
c1885, with two
leaded
and hand painted panels. Top panel has a pale yellow
Bull's-eye bullion with
squares depicting stylised Flowers.
The larger
lower panel has a large
central leaded roundel depicting a bird on crossed
halberds around which is a banderol
with a Latin inscription "Semper Sic" - Always
Thus. Around are hand painted squares of stylised flowers. Removed
from a private property in South Wales during refurbishment. Glass panels
are now in a galvanised
crittle
metal window frame,
with lead and
glass
in
excellent
condition.

Top Panel: 9¼" high x 18" wide - 23.5cm h x 46cm w
Bottom Panel: 33" high x 18" wide - 84cm h x 46cm w
