Fantastic set of 7 antique stained glass windows, c1872. Each leaded and hand painted depicting chivalric Arthurian scenes from Idylls of the King, a collection
of twelve poems by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. The set were made for Park Place House, Remenham, Henley-on-Thames, Buckinghamshire, England, as part of extensive remodelling and refurbishment carried out between 1871 and 1883 by architect Thomas Cundy III after the original house was destroyed by fire. It was Cundy III who commissioned the London firm of Heaton, Butler & Bayne to make the 7 panels, of which Robert Bayne was the firms third partner and principal designer of Pre-Raphaelite figural windows.
