Mary I – Phillip II of Spain by Thomas Willement
Antique lancet stained glass window, c1845, leaded with coloured glass hand painted depicting the coat of arms of Mary I, possibly incorporating the arms of her husband Phillip II of Spain. Above are hand painted quarries with the initials MR and holding the central shield are a Dog rampant and crowned Eagle. Window has been restored keeping it in original condition.
Thomas Willement (18 July 1786–10 March 1871) was stained glass artist to George IV and Queen Victoria, making heraldic stained glass for St George’s Chapel, Windsor amongst other places.
