Ref: Ron526 – Roundel – Red Cross Knight/St George

Antique panel, c1910, leaded with coloured glass and hand painted depicting a Knight in armour with a red cross on his breastplate and shield and carrying a pennant flag. Below is an inscription “A Gentle Knight was pricking on the plaine” a line from the The Faery Queen poem by Edmund Spencer. Slight lead strap restoration which has kept the panel in original condition, with hanging wire attached.
