Ref: Vic620 – Victorian Stained Glass Window – Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co. Quarry Panel
Large Victorian glass panel, c1870, leaded with 36 full hand painted roundels depicting rings of stylised Daisy flowers, between each roundel are hand painted leaf spacers.
PROVENANCE: Formerly at Bowden Hall, Upper St Leonards, Gloucestershire. It is mentioned in “William Morris & his Circle” by Charles Sewter that Bowden Hall had three stained glass panels by Edward Burne-Jones which were removed during renovations. We presume this to be part of one of these windows.
Also The Green Dining Room at the V&A Museum, London, designed by Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co. have similar windows.
