Christ In The House Of Martha & Mary by Morris & Co.
Large leaded stained glass window hand painted on beautiful coloured glass, depicting Martha, Mary and JC, c1925. Removed from a church, now demolished, in Marlborough Place, St Johns Wood, London.
In excellent original condition and now in an Oak frame.
Documented in Sewter’s book “The Stained Glass Of William Morris And His Circle” entry states: 1925. St John’s Wood, Marylebone, London. Morris & Co. Catalogue of Designs, date 20 July 1925 records a single light window of Christ In The House Of Martha And Mary (John Henry Dearle) the figures painted by Seeley, inscription
